It is learnt that Egyptians were very apt in using these divine methodology of predicting through Tarot cards. The disciples had to undergo a rigorous training and meditation sessions before they were imparted these teachings.
They were there secret tool of divination and also a path to attain enlightenment. Since the Egyptian kingdom was in danger of being thrown apart and the priests and Pharaohs were being massacred, they designed their divine knowledge on picture cards so that it could be saved from the threat of extinction.
These sets of cards were handed over to the disciples… in no manner the enemy could identify anything special on these cards and neither could read the messages given form them… it became a tool of disguise for the seekers. For a normal person they were a set of cards for playing games, but for divine seekers, they were a path to their salvation…the name tarot also is said to be derived from
Egyptian words ‘tar’, meaning a path, and ‘ro’ or ‘ros’ meaning royal. They both together mean 'the royal path'.
