| From Vedic astrological point of view luminary Sun, Satellite Moon, Planets- Venus, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, Sensitive points or shadowy planets normally referred to as Rahu- Ketu in astrological language – are all taken as Planets.
The word planet is derived from the Greek word planetes, meaning wanderer. As per Hindu mythology Planet is Sam Bhavate Sam Grah, that means, “which influences is called Grah".
