Chasing Fortune Modi vs Gandhi

view32300 views
It seems that both Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi are chasing fortune in the run up of the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections. One is doing so aggressively and the other is trying to be passively active of late. There are unique odd parallels between these two gentlemen. Rahul Gandhi belongs to the first family of this country. Starting from Jawaharlal Nehru it is still growing strong while Madam Gandhi is at the helm of affairs. Narendra Modi is a real ‘aam aadmi’ and belongs to a very ordinary background to which 98% people of this country belong. He started his political career in the RSS as a grass roots worker and rose to be the Chief Minister of Gujarat and presently he is in his third term as the CM of Gujarat. On the contrary Rahul Gandhi is an heir- apparent of the ruling party of India.

Let us compare the astrological charts of both these ambitious people based on data available to us. Birth details and chart of these two are as follows:

Rahul Gandhi was born on 19th June 1970 at 505 Hrs. at Delhi. At the time of his birth Taurus ascendant was rising on the eastern horizon and the planetary configuration is as such: Mercury – Taurus, Sun, Mars – Gemini, Venus – Cancer, Ketu – Leo, Pluto, Uranus – Virgo, Jupiter – Libra, Moon, Neptune – Scorpio, Rahu – Aquarius and Saturn in Aries.

Narendra Modi was born on 17th September 1950 at 1100 Hrs. at Mehsana (Gujarat). At the time of his birth Scorpio ascendant was rising on the eastern horizon and the planetary configuration is as such: Moon, Mars – Scorpio, Retrograde Jupiter – Aquarius, Rahu – Pisces, Uranus – Gemini, Pluto – Cancer, Saturn, Venus – Leo, Sun, Mercury, Ketu and Neptune in Virgo.

There are very few commonalities between these two aspirants of Prime Minister-ship and they are poles apart in their personality, approach and attitude. Matching points are only a few and one is that both want to be the Prime Minister of this great Nation. In Rahul’s case the total support of the party and its cadre is quite visible, however Narendra Modi does not enjoy even this slice of luck as somebody or the other keeps on opposing his elevation as the campaigner head and many shrewd older politicians of the party are still in the race for the higher post.

Narendra Modi’s lagna / ascendant is Scorpio and Mars and Moon are present in it. Mars being the sign lord of Scorpio single handedly forms one of the Panch Mahapurush Rajayoga called ‘Ruchak’. There are only five Panch Mahapurush Rajayogas in the realm of astrology which enjoy a special power of uplifting the native from nowhere or it is just like a story from rags to riches. This definition of Rajayoga fits in absolutely in the case of Narendra Modi. The Moon is debiliated and present in the lagna along with Mars which has cancelled its ‘Neecha’ or negativity to a great extent and given the strength of a Rajayoga. The aggression of Modi can be attributed to this Mars and that is also evident from his political career. The Moon is debiliated although Neech Bhanga Rajayoga has taken place but a neech or negative planet seldom sheds its negative qualities completely. The Moon represents mind and Modi has his own mind which often turns many people off despite his being a very successful story for the last 10 years.

Rahul Gandhi’s birth lagna is Taurus and Mercury is placed in it. Lagna represents self or personality. The 7th house is occupied by the Moon. Moon and Mercury are involved in mutual aspect. Whenever this sort of situation is present in the chart it is a clear indication that the person concerned has some doubts about himself or the system which is why he cannot express himself freely. Lord of lagna is Venus and has occupied the 3rd house. In astrology 3rd, 6th and 11th houses are known to be extra powerful but provide strength to only negative or cruel planets. Whenever a benefic planet like Venus occupies the 3rd house as in the present case, then the person has to prove his worth on many occasions. Venus is a very important planet of this chart because it is the lagna lord (personality) and has become debiliated in the ‘navamsha’ chart. Perhaps that is the reason that though he has been in politics for almost ten years yet Rahul Gandhi has not carved a niche for himself.

For politicians the 4th house is very important because it represents masses and their opinion. In Narendra Modi’s chart the 4th house is beautifully fortified by the presence of Jupiter and is involved in a beautiful rajayoga – ‘gajkesari’. As stated earlier Moon has occupied the lagna along with Mars. Moon and Jupiter give rise to this powerful rajayoga called ‘gajakesari’. Jupiter is a benefic planet and a ‘karaka’ or significator for Scorpio lagna. Narendra Modi is a man of the masses and his mass appeal has brought him so close to his ambition of becoming Prime Minister. There are many people who hate Modi but his followers or those who like him are manifold than his detractors and are immensely influenced by him.

In Rahul’s chart the 4th house falls in Leo sign and is occupied by Ketu. The lord of the 4th house is Sun and is well-placed in the 2nd house along with Mars. The 2nd house in astrology deals with family and its background. Rahul Gandhi comes from the most powerful family of India and people have natural love and affection towards him. His fan following would have increased a thousand times had he impressed people with his ideas and policies. Rahul still stands a chance to bring back the magic of the Nehru-Gandhi family if he changes his approach towards the masses. But Rahul has not done anything so far and that is very obvious.

The 5th house deals with creative wisdom of a person. In Rahul’s case the lord of the 5th house is Mercury which has beautifully occupied the lagna itself. Right from the time that Rahul entered politics till now people are waiting for big ideas and policies from Rahul which he has not expressed so far; yet people are still hopeful. Pima facie looking at his personality and background one expects a lot from Rahul Gandhi on internal and external policy matters of this country. If Rahul can speak his mind on these issues then many would be keen to listen to him.

In Modi’s chart the 5th house is occupied by Rahu and its lord Jupiter is placed in the 4th house. Modi has had many lofty ideas for this country. He has a knack of presenting his ideas so beautifully that he presents a third dimension to even a small example of whether the glass is half empty or half full. This appeals to the masses immensely but does it change the content of the glass that only time will show. Rahu’s presence in the 5th house sometimes casts a spell on the intuitive wisdom of a person and leads to illusions. Modi should be extremely careful and aware of his own ideas. If anything can make or break him that is his own ideology and not his party or his opposition.

The 7th house deals with partners and allies. In Rahul Gandhi’s case the 7th house is occupied by a debiliated Moon but its lord Mars is well placed in the 2nd house. The 2nd house also denotes inheritance and family influence. Rahul is enriched on this point and his family or party has a tradition of allies and have the ability to pick and drop allies from time to time as per their convenience. He will have no issue in dealing with partners or allies as the need be. In Modi’s case the lord of the 7th house is Venus and has occupied the 10th house. There is a square between lagna lord Mars and Venus which is not considered very good. Modi’s persona is so huge that allies or partners are not comfortable to join hands with him. On the contrary some of the allies of the Party have left the alliance because of his elevation in the Party. This is an issue that Modi needs to tackle very intelligently.

In astrology 10th house deals with ‘rajya’ or government. In Modi’s chart 10th house is occupied by Saturn and Venus which are being aspected by Jupiter and Mars. This configuration has given Modi immense authority and power to make the administration work efficiently under him. Modi is an able administrator and the Gujarat model is being appreciated by UK and USA too. Rahul Gandhi has not tasted power individually as an administrator therefore this area is untested and only time will tell how he will act and react. Since Rahu is present in the 10th house in his chart it indicates that if an opportunity is given then he will do well.

In Rahul’s case Moon-Mercury are in operation and shall continue through 2014. Moon has occupied the 7th house and Mercury is placed in the lagna. Both the planets are well-aligned from each other. Moon is debiliated and Rahul Gandhi is under the severe influence of Saturn’s ‘saade saati’. ‘Saade saati’ does not help the native to achieve his target easily. A lot of delays, obstacles and hurdles come in the way of realizing fortune. The task ahead is not easy for Rahul Gandhi.

In Modi’s case Moon –Rahu will operate till October 2014. Moon is debiliated in the lagna and Rahu has occupied the 5th house. Moon- Rahu combo is not considered very good. Modi is also under the negative influence of ‘saade saati’. As a matter of fact both Rahul and Modi’s dasha lord is Moon and both are suffering from Saturn’s negetativity.

Looking at both the charts one can draw a conclusion that the task ahead is not easy for either of these gentlemen. Indian politics, of late, has become one of multi-party politics and no single party or person can form a government on his own therefore a lot hard work and arduous tasks are ahead for both of them. It depends on how they fare in the coming months and how they attract party, people and allies towards them. Whosoever succeeds in that will have a fair chance of leading this country. At the same time both have their abilities, strengths, background etc. Some major changes will take place in the realm of the planets around Diwali i.e. October – November 2013 and things will become very clear. At that time we can analyse the charts and say who will be the winner.
