Come year end and the name of Nostradamus – the famous 16th-century philosopher and astrologer, starts to pop up everywhere. Over the years, many of his predictions have hit bull’s eye like the tragic assassinations of the Kennedy brothers, Hilter’s rise, Napolean’s defeat and even the deadly 9/11 attack on the Twin towers in the USA in 2001.
The wars over global warming will continue to surface during the year 2017 too. The primary force driving the escalation of these ‘Hot Wars’ would be global warming and the diminishing rate of resources at a breathtaking pace. With regards to the war front, the greatest threat to the human race continues to be from the devastation caused by terrorists.
2017 will act as the landmark year when Russia and Ukraine will reach a consensus. While the terms of their agreement are still not clear, nations the world over like Germany and other EU nations will welcome this new truce.
From the face of it, it seems like US of A will lose its global supremacy. The current superpower will appear to be highly incompetent in addressing the global problems that the world faces today. Corruption, an increase in inequality will be some of the main factors that will contribute towards this situation. According to Nostradamus, Obama would perhaps be the last successful President of the USA.
2017 will see a dramatic increase in the adoption of solar power and solar energy. This gigantic powerhouse of energy will contribute a huge chunk towards the global power generation thereby helping world economies against the rising energy costs and the dreadful impact of climate change.
It is anticipated that China will make some ‘bold moves’ in 2017 to address the economic imbalances of the world. This may have far stretched effects on the rest of the world. So is China becoming the next superpower? Only time will tell!
Cloud computing has been the latest buzzword in the last five years or so. Come 2017 and the term ’cloud’ will disappear from the phrase ‘cloud computing’. The assumption is that most computations will be done in the cloud.
