In Hinduism, the male trinity gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, i.e. Lord Shiva, are considered supreme almighty. India, Nepal and many different parts of the world are peppered with temples dedicated to these three gods. Lord Shiva has a huge number of followers, but Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma are not far behind. Lord Vishnu too, is a very popular deity in Hinduism. So let us explore what makes him so popular among his devotees:
Lord Vishnu lay asleep, floating in the vast sea of nothingness before the creation of our universe. When he woke up, he stirred due to which a lotus flower was born from his belly. This flower blossomed, giving birth to Lord Brahma. It was then Lord Brahma set out to create our universe.
The fact that Lord Buddha is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu is debatable. Many Hindu sects believe and accept Lord Buddha as one of the avatars of Lord Vishnu while others beg to differ and claim that Buddha was an incarnation of a highly evolved soul.
